Best Snow Goggles 2022
Number 01. Oakley Flight Deck XM || Best Snow Goggles
[Details About This Goggle]
First on the table is the Oakley Flight Deck, In the Flight Deck family, they have the XL with the prism jade lens, this is the XM with the sapphire lens. What makes this goggle so great is it’s unbelievably comfortable and it has this huge shield, a rimless design and you just get amazing peripheral vision.
So, if you’re about a medium-sized person, get the XM which stands for extra medium. I know it’s kind of funny and if you’re a big guy like me or you just have a big head or you really like oversized goggles, get the XL size and that one has prism jade.
Recommending the Flight Deck, the most are for the type of person who does not want to interchange lenses. Some people just want a simple setup, they don’t want two sets of lenses no matter how easy they are to interchange.
By the way, you can interchange Flight deck lenses, they don’t come with a spare lens and they’re not the easiest to interchange.
So, if you’re the type of person who does not want to interchange and you just want one lens the prism sapphire or the jade with the prism technology, works unbelievably well in so many conditions. Overcast to sunny, one lens gets you through most everything. So, that’s the Flight Deck.
- Oakley Prizm lenses
- Unique look
- Massive field of view
- Great protection
- Subpar ventilation
- Only comes with one lens
Number 02. Anon M4
[Details About This Goggle]
Next up is the Anon M4, this thing is just unbelievable such a workhorse, high quality, durable and tough goggles. You can get them either with a toric lens or a cylindrical lens. You automatically get two lenses, perceive lenses that are Anon’s new lens technology which is phenomenal gives you really high contrast, really good color boost.
It automatically comes with two sets of lenses and yes, they’re that easy to interchange. They use a magnetic quick-change system and it just snaps in there and it stays in really really well.
As well, another thing I really like about these personally because of my big nose is they have this deep pocket. So, if you do have a big nose they don’t put a lot of pressure or kind of make you go nasally or anything like that.
They’re super comfortable and if you don’t have a big nose there’s plenty of foam there you’re still going to get full coverage and full contact point.
It’s just really nice if you do have a bigger nose than deep pocket is really really awesome and I would say this one is about a large to extra-large fit. So, it’s a little bit bigger. That’s the Anon M4. I love it.
- Magnetic lenses
- Magnetic facemask
- 2 lenses included
- Great optics
- The best performance for large faces
- Expensive
- Larger fit, not for everyone
Number 03. SMITH Squad Mag || Best Snow Goggles
[Details About This Goggle]
All right next is the Smith Squad Mag. So, the Squad itself has been a very popular goggle and now Smith has made it easier to interchange with a magnetic interchangeable lens system.
This one is cylindrical so you get that kind of cool retro look but they’re using a really high-quality cylindrical lens that has very little distortion.
It’s going to be basically the same optics as a spherical lens and these also have chroma pop lens technology. Yes, chroma pop really gives you amazing contrast. It kind of changes the world.
It’s amazing and they have a great anti-fog system. On here, this is about a medium fit. So, that is the Smith Squad Mag.
- Inexpensive
- Durable
- Multiple lenses included
- More basic styling
- Lenses aren’t the easiest to change
Number 04. Anon WM3
[Details About This Goggle]
The Anon WM3, we are so stoked and so thankful to Anon for making more women’s specific goggles. This one is really cool.
First of all, it comes in some amazing colorways. This is cylindrical, it is a women’s specific frame so it’s going to fit the contours of a woman’s face better. They’re not just smaller and they’re not just pink, they’re actually designed for women.
It’s amazing they still have the Magnatech technology. So, it’s super easy to interchange the lenses and you do get a second set of lenses with them.
They do have the perceived lens technology which has amazing contrast and they are MFI compatible. So, the MFI is this face shield, and having an easy-to-take-off and on-the-face shield is amazing.
So, the belt actually just magnetically attaches keeps you warm, keeps all the germs away, keeps it really cool and you just kind of can really easily open it and close it as need be. So, that’s the MFI technology. Also, available with that m4 that we talked about earlier.
- SONAR lenses
- Magna-Tech lens change tech
- MFI face mask integration
- Expensive for a cylindrical goggle
Number 05. Dragon PXV || Best Snow Goggles
[Details About This Goggle]
We got the Dragon PXV next, this one is a toric lens shape. So, torque means it’s almost cylindrical. It’s kind of not totally flat this way but just has a little bit of curvature and then it has that really kind of cool 80s look. Again, very comfortable I love this colorway with the eagle and the burgundy.
This one’s fully rimless so you get a really good peripheral view. It has luma lens technology that’s dragon’s lens technology for extra contrast.
It does come with an extra set of lenses like I said before all of these are super high-quality goggles. So, you’re going to get the triple foam. The last layer is really moisture-wicking, really comfortable and this one’s an extra-large fit.
One thing I do really like about dragons and this PXV is its armor technology on top. So, instead of the foam being exposed, you get this little bit of perforated vented plastic which keeps the foam on the inside dry on snowy powdery wet days which is really nice. Kind of later in the day keeps everything a little bit more fog-free. That’s the PXV from Dragon.
- Panotech lens
- Photochromatic lens option
- Lens Change System is a Huge Step Back from Swiftlock
